V-Sit

When searching for exercises that help flatten tummy muscles, individuals may well come across exercises that they had never heard of before. One such potentially obscure workout is the V-Sit. The V-Sit represents yet another way to focus one’s toning and firming efforts on the muscles of the midsection. It is not too complicated to understand, but it may well prove to be a challenge for some individuals, especially exercise novices.

In order to perform the V-Sit exercise correctly and have a good chance of working to effectively flatten tummy regions, the individual begins by sitting on the floor. Then, while leaning forward with the upper body, the participant then brings his or her legs upward, bending them at the hips. Working to keep the legs straight, the participant then stretches his or her arms out, effectively closing the v, so to speak. Again, contracting the body into a v position by bending at the hips and keeping both the upper and lower bodies straight may well prove to be quite difficult for many individuals, but working toward doing the V-Sit effectively and consistently is certainly one way to flatten tummy regions by the means of an active workout routine.
